Sorry for the bad image quality

To apologise / 謝る
= s’excuser

to ask for forgiveness
= demander pardon

to be sorry
= être désolé (e)

I’m sorry. / ごめんなさい!
= Je suis désolé(e)

Sorry! / ごめん!
= Désolé(e)! or Pardon!

In a conversation to have someone repeat what they just said you can say “Pardon?”, or “Comment?” (or “Quoi” in a familiar context only).

Excuse me!/ すみません!
= Excusez-moi (formal)
= Excuse-moi (familiar)

Excuse me, what time is it ?
すみません、今何時ですか。
= Excusez-moi, vous avez l’heure s’il vous plaît ? *
(* this is not a literal translation)

I’m really sorry for not posting french lessons lately.
最近フランス語のレッソンをアップしなくて本当にごめんなさい。
= Je suis vraiment désolée de n’avoir pas posté de leçons de français ces derniers temps.

Learn French 15

Sorry for making such a long video ! Plus, I made some horrible english mistakes (ts, ts, ts NOT GOOD!)

Trying to explain some french pronunciation rules, taking the word “BONJOUR” as an example.

B = pronounced like the english B (baby/ブ)

ON = French nasal sound, pronounced like in the video at 1:32
“ON” should be pronounced that way when placed at the very end of word or in front of a consonant. In front of B or P, the letter N becomes M.

J = pronounced like in the video at 5:05 (j ≠ dj)!!!

OU = pronounced [ue/ウ] like in “true”

R = See video called “Pronunciation of the French R”:
