    17 is not “seize” and 16 “dix-sept”.
    16- seize
    17- dix-sept

    vingt et un [vint ai un] vingt deux [vint de] vingt trois [vint troa ] for 26 we rather say [vinn sis]and not [vint] 27 is [vint set] 28 [vint wit] 29 [vint nef] trente [trent nasally pronounced] and from 30 when you put a “1″ after the number ( 41 51 61 and 81 ) you say : trente ET un ; quarante ET un ; cinquante ET un ; soixante ET un … BUT … There are 3 particularities : 71 : soixante ET ONZE , 81 : quatre vingts UN and 91 : quatre vingts ONZE
