Explaining “bof”, little french word commonly used in familiar conversations. Be careful though and avoid using it in formal situations.

    l’usage le plus contemporain : bof se traduit en anglais par “so, so”

    ex: comment tu te sens? -bof
    how are you feeling? -so, so

    les americains apprennent en cours de francais que so, so se traduit par comme ci, comme ca, mais on n’utilise plus cette expression, mais bof a la place.
